Turning everyday moments into extraordinary memories

It started in 2009 with a camera in the Philippines.

A Nikon D90 DSLR to be exact.

That’s the first time I remember storytelling through a camera. As part of a college trip, a friend let me use their camera throughout our time traveling around the Philippines.

Once I returned to the States, I switched to black and white film, a process I’m still grateful for learning. Film photography challenged me to slow down and create with the subject in mind rather than a screen. When you have to develop your own film and then edit manually in a darkroom, you gain an appreciation for a well-composed photo from the minute you push your shutter button. After all, I had limited frames to work with!

Black and white film photography developed my eye further to compose photos that don’t rely on patterns or colors to create a vibrant, authentic photo. To this day, black and white photography remains a favorite of mine which is why I include black and white versions throughout each portrait session.

Since then, I’ve had to opportunity to do photography for single families, graduating seniors, newborns, and multigenerational families. I’ve been able to use photography to show the beauty of Tanzania’s Serengeti, the history of Jerusalem, and human rights violations in Southeast Asia.

I believe that great photos start with great composition and genuine moments. When it comes to editing, I keep things simple with a clean editing style to ensure your photos stay timeless over the years to come.

No matter what season of life you’re in, there are moments worth remembering. From births to graduation, achievements to anniversaries, and celebrating friends and family, I look forward to partnering with you!
